At West Chatham Elementary School, we know that student success happens when families, teachers, and school leaders work together. Guided by the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, we are committed to Being Proactive in supporting every child, Beginning with the End in Mind to set goals, and Putting First Things First by prioritizing learning. This compact is our shared commitment to student growth and achievement. Please review and sign the parent/guardian section, discuss the student section with your child, and return one signed compact per student. As a Parent/Guardian, I will:
· Encourage my child to take ownership of their learning.
· Review and discuss my child’s assessment scores.
· Communicate regularly with my child’s teacher and school staff.
· Be provided reasonable access to school resources and staff for support.
· Provide a home environment that fosters learning and academic growth.
· Recognize that I play a key role in my child’s education.
· Celebrate my child’s achievements and support areas of growth.
· Attend parent-teacher conferences and school events to stay involved.
